Eurogamer gave it a similar 8 out of 10 score. Golf, unlike most ball games, cannot and does not utilize a standardized playing area, and coping with the varied terrains encountered on different courses is a key part of the game. But it's all Hot Shots golfing, and this is one of the most spectacular golfing games out there. Golf is a club-and-ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible. Sometimes you'll shout for joy, other times you'll curse in frustration. It may have taken a while to get here, but this was definitely worth waiting for. As a result, this is one of the most addictive PSP game to date. Praise was given to its art style and simple but effect game mechanics. IGN gave the game an 8.8 out of 10, stating "The line between cute and cheesy is a fine one, but the game sweetly balances this divide with a fine-tuned game engine the delivers a genuine golfing experience. Reviews for the game were generally positive.
